For me it was Stevenage when they were in the Conference during the 90's.

However, I preferred Chelmsford's Writtle Road and Hendon's Claremont Road for character and for how I imagined football grounds to look like during the 30's - 50's.

Best stadium would have to be the International Stadium, where Gateshead used to play and I think for now still do play.

Problem was however, you'd have a mutli-thousand all-seater with about 400 fans in it - so not exactly the greatest atmosphere.

For atmosphere, Kingsfield, home to Woking. When I first went along it was to support Gateshead. The second time was with West Ham (the game that Joey Beauchamp was supposed to play at but pulled out of due to purported death threats). Then the third time I supported Woking as they dumped Barnet out of the FA Cup. So in fact, a ground where every time I've been, the team I've been supporting has won! (If only I had that track record at the Boleyn...)

Re: What is the best non-league ground you have been to ?
Chester and Halifax were half decent but they had been the football league so I'm going with Telford United as the best, with Nantwich and Northwich Victoria probably the next best two, with a couple of miners welfare teams (Brodsworth, and Armthorpe) being absolute dives.

Has to be The Hive now, Barnet's new ground. Despite it not being in Barnet, got some amazing facilities for a non league team. Hopefully the will be able to build up, if promotion comes

Only ever been to one, Dagenham before they merged with Redbridge.

And not on a match day.

The beer was cheap but crap.

Re: What is the best non-league ground you have been to ?
Bromley does indeed have a nice little bar / hospitality area for functions etc, you could be forgiven for thinking it belonged to a club several layers higher.

A bit off-topic but I remember an "off" between Basingstoke and Kingstonians once, if you could call a fat Kingstonian bloke piling into some kids a ruck in the known sense of the term. Plus a small skinhead pitch invasion v Wokingham. I love non-league sometimes.
